Design of Miniature Vegetation

2019, Seoul

Internship at Guga Urban Architecture

Part of my job during my internship was to design how to represent the vegetation of a literary and cultural center project for Jeju Island, South Korea. The 1:20 scale study model evolves with the project, and an emphasis is placed on the materiality and atmosphere of the outdoor spaces. The main garden is a reminder of the island's traditional natural baths, built of volcanic stones.

After a detailed study of the vegetation and minerals very specific to this region, I set out to develop miniature trees, plants and soil. Each plant is then catalogued.

All images and concepts belong to Guga Urban architecture.
